Madison Shannon Kelly is an extremely talented woman who takes on many roles, so we were more than excited and appreciative when she agreed to take time out of her busy schedule to sit down and answer some of our questions. Madison was kind enough to briefly share with us a little of her past, her present, and her hopes for the future! Enjoy...
We'd first like to say thank you for taking time out of your very busy schedule to answer a few questions for our readers.
M: No thank you for understanding and so sorry for delay. My time on most days is not my own right now.
When we came across your tweet the other day about you starting a new cooking show and Bone Crusher was going to be your first celebrity guest, you caught our attention right away! But, before we go there, if it's okay with you we'd like to give the people a glimpse into the business woman behind the show. For those who may not already know who you are, can you tell us a little bit about who Madison Kelly is?

With so many titles to your name, you must be crazy busy. Could you give us a glimpse into what a typical day looks like for you?
M: My typical day always starts from the plans I have made the evening before. But most days include preparing a Hot breakfast for my kids before school, looking at twitter and facebook. Then my afternoons are full of phone calls and meetings, that is if I am not on a Set all day working. Most evenings are full of rehearsals, acting classes or hosting events.
How do you manage to accomplish all that you do? Where does your drive/motivation come from?
M: I have to plan out every detail and manage every minute of my time. My drive/motivation comes from my kids, I want to leave them a legacy that they can be proud of and own one day.
"...nothing comes to you if you do not put in "HARD WORK" and remain "HUMBLE"."
On your journey to becoming the business woman/entrepreneur that you are today, was there any one obstacle that you had to overcome, that maybe at the time you thought was insurmountable? If so, how did you overcome it? And what did it teach you?
M: When I was younger I made very bad choices and tried to take the easy way out of life. This lead me to 10 years probation and Jail time. I overcame this with prayer and a lot of Family support. This taught me that nothing comes to you if you do not put in "HARD WORK" and remain "HUMBLE".
Who encouraged you (if anyone) to follow your passion/s?
M: I have to say most of my encouragement comes from my kids and my mom. They have never given up on me.
What key steps did you have to take to realize such success?
M: 1.) I had to be real with myself. 2.) CLEAN MY LIFE UP AND REMOVE ALL NEGEATIVE THINGS/PEOPLE OUT OF IT. 3.) PUT GOD 1ST.
When you first started out in the business what was the ultimate goal you wanted to achieve? And is it the same today?
M: My ultimate goal is to have a successful production company and direct and Act in some great films. The name of my production company is Blackanese Productions, INC.
"My advice to women is to never take "NO" for a final answer."
Last Business Question: Do you have any advise for others, particularly woman, who are lookin' to branch out on their own and start their own business/businesses?
M: My advice to women is to never take "NO" for a final answer. Reinvent yourself and keep going after your dreams.
Thank you! Now let's talk food! ...First, when did you start cooking? And when did you know you were good at it?
M: I started cooking with my grandfather when I was 8 and by the time I was 14 was very confident in the kitchen. And when your grandmother will eat your dishes, you know you are doing something right.
Was it your passion for food or cooking that brought about the show, or were you approached with the idea?
M: My passion for cooking and wanting to share my passion was the reason to start my cooking show to share my passion with the world.
Can you tell us a little about the show (title, format, how often, where we can find it, when it's gonna start, etc. - details!)?
M: Well, my show is called "THE MADDY SHOW" and its going to be a cooking/talk show featuring celebrities with live performances, as well as featured Chefs. I am Shopping with networks now.
Your tweets tell us that Bone Crusher is going to be the first celebrity guest... will all guests on the show be celebrities?
M: Yes Bone Crusher is one of the many guests confirmed to come on the show. He was my 1st choice because I was his former Road Manager and also now handle a lot of his PR work for his new album.
"My dream Guest would be Oprah..."
Who would be your dream guest? ...Any chance of that happening?
M: My dream Guest would be Oprah and even to have my show on her network would be a huge honor. Her network is on my list to send Plot show too.
Is it possible that we may see your daughter, “Junior Chef Deja Kelly” appear as a guest in the kitchen some day?
M: Of course my daughter will appear on my show and "Junior Chef Deja' Kelly" is co owner/columnist of Diva Delights and our column "The Diva Delights Corner" is in every issue of Six Twelve Magazine.
