New Release: Atlanta, by renowned New York photographer Michael Schmelling
Atlanta is an 8 ½ x 10 inch, 224 page hardcover book, with 160 color and black & white photographs, documenting the city of Atlanta's Hip Hop & Urban Culture.
When asked the impact that the process of bringing this book to life had on him both personally as well as professionally as a photographer, this is what he told me:
"For a while there, Atlanta was my second home - and now that I'm done with the project, and not visiting as much, I miss it. I wanna go back and hear what's playing on the radio and see whatever's happening this weekend. The way I went about making the book wasn't that different from other projects I've done. But that said, so much of this book was informed by the city of Atlanta and the things I saw and heard and learned and found there - it's a product of the city." - Michael Schmelling
