Can you tell us a little about the Neck of the Woods brand?
Gullee: Neck of the Woods brand started in 2010. We are based out of Madisonville, KY. We specialize in custom wooden jewelry & clothing design.
How long have you been making custom jewelery?
Gullee: We have been making custom jewelry for one year, but have been in the "Custom" industry since 2004. All of our designers have been providing custom artwork for years.
How did you get your start in the business? ...How did Neck of the Woods come about?
Gullee: Basically, Neck of the Woods got it's start by recognizing there was a need for something we could provide. We built a team that stretches nationwide, consisting of graphic & clothing designers, photographers, marketing reps, street teams, and econ majors.
How widespread is your work, and to what do you credit for such popularity?
Gullee: Our work is very widespread, as well as diverse. We provide merchandise nationally and internationally to people of all ages and races. With this industry, we don't supply just one genre. Custom wearable art is something that is very popular within all communities. We believe our popularity stems from our unique designs, customer service, one on one interaction and our team's credibility and weight each of our name's hold.
We all, as designers, have a strong following. I, Gullee, owner & one of the designers, ran a clothing line called "GULLEE ORIGINALS" that specialized in handpainted and screen printed clothing. I also have been a fairly well-known graphic designer for some time. Brandon, our Senior Media director also runs BSL designs, Money, our St. Louis and Kansas City sales rep runs Money Graphics LLC. specializing in graphic design, PR, & print services. Kilo, runs Kilo Designs, a graphic design firm based out of Louisville, KY. Tommy Cash, our Online Marketing director, is a photographer/blogger out of Memphis. This is to what we credit our popularity.
What has been the biggest moment/most memorable moment for the Neck of the Woods brand so far?
Gullee: Right now, to us, every moment is the biggest moment. Not just doing work for artists like Wale, Big Sean, Tyga, Dj Drama, but just hearing all of the good feedback from everybody that shops with us, that is what means the most to us.
What is Neck of the Woods up to at this moment in time? What if anything should we be on the look out for in the near or extended future?
Gullee: Right now, Neck of the Woods is just working. Coming up with new designs, expanding our services, and working to constantly improve our quality and customer satisfaction.
