Welcome to DaLyfe.com, pronounced Da Life, slang for The Life. DaLyfe.com is an Urban Lifestyle & Culture Blogazine dedicated to urban readers of diverse backgrounds.
DaLyfe was created as a side project of Reuben and Sherri,
aka Esc8pee and Pixie ...aka the FlyDuo.
When we're not working or spending time with our family, we can be found writing!
However, with things picking up even more over at
Fly Media, the time we get to spend
writing these days has become less and less. So for the time being updates to DaLyfe.com will be kept at a minimum. We're hoping for at least once a month
(on or around the 1st day of each month), so please don't forget to check back!
Okay so we couldn't stay away! We missed you, and we missed writing for you! ...No we weren't ever really gone, but writing a little once a month or so ...well it just isn't enough for any of us is it?! So we are makin' for a comeback! Please keep checkin' back over the next couple months as we will be slowly but surely makin' our way back to you.
But that's not all! We aren't just coming back, we are coming back better than ever! We've got a lot of new things planned for you that you will notice a little at a time as you visit us from day to day and week to week. We've got lots of good stuff coming – from a whole new section specifically dedicated to Relationship issues, to new features such as commenting, contests & giveaways, more interviews and more!

At DaLyfe.com we are simply two people with a love for Urban Lifestyle & Culture ...we love it, we live it, and we often times have somethin' to say about it. With the media's unbalanced portrayal of Urban Culture we often feel like we are livin' in our own little world, when in reality it is the media's perspective that is off.
We want for people to see that there is more to Urban Culture than what they see on TV, to share with them the positive side of our life. It is also our hope that people like us, who also love it, live it, and often times have somethin' to say about it, will relate on a personal level, and will want to share their experiences as well.
It is only as a group that we can change the way people outside of the culture view us and the way that we live. Since the media puts out enough of the negative, we are simply going to focus on the positive. DaLyfe.com was created not only as an outlet for ourselves, but also as a place to uplift, encourage, inform, inspire, and empower others.
DaLyfe.com is dedicated to all in the urban community, and since the urban community isn't made up of one race alone, DaLyfe.com will not be dedicated solely to the issues, entertainment, or fashion, of any one race. We will do our best to show Urban Culture as it truly is ...a unique, diverse, and beautiful way of life. A way of life that is made up of not one race alone, but of many. Bein' an interracial couple ourselves we think that you will find we too have a unique perspective ...and many unique experiences as well!
